Vacancies have been notified
calling for applications for the 1000 regular vacancies and 20 vacancies
under Special Recruitment for Blind and Handicapped, for the posts of
Lecturers for Government Arts & Science Colleges and Colleges of
Education for 35 subjects. Certificate Verifications have been
conducted in districts for which all the candidates who applied have
been called. After the CV, weightage marks have been awarded for all
the eligible candidates for educational qualifications, teaching
experience and for the refereed books & articles published.
Hence, among the candidates who
have attended the CV, 16580 candidates short-listed on the basis of
weightage marks awarded were called for Interview. For this purpose, 20
Interview Boards were constituted comprising of Principals of various
Government colleges as co-opted Members and senior-most Lecturers as
Subject Experts. 16027 candidates have attended the Interviews held in
Chennai.
The Government, in their recent
G.O.Ms.No.358 dated 30-10-2007 have issued orders to release results for
the 1020 vacancies notified and to issue fresh notification calling for
applications for the additional vacancies announced in G.O.Ms.No.280,
Hr.Edn. (F2) Dept, dt. 7.8.2007. Moreover, as per the directions of the
Hon’ble High Court in WP No. 27231, 17 posts in addition to the 13
posts already reserved for Blind and Orthopaedically Handicapped
candidates have to be kept vacant.

More
posts in the regular category are also to be kept vacant,
as per the directions given by the Hon’ble High Court in the
W.P.No.26227/2007, 26766/2007, 30395/2007, 32276/2007 and 24309/2007.
Results now released also include posts under Special Recruitment for
blind and orthopaedically handicapped.
The merit-cum-communal roster
of candidates provisionally selected for appointment, based on total
marks (weightage marks awarded in the Certificate Verification and the
marks awarded in the Interview), duly following the communal rotation,
is now released for all the subjects, except F32 - Education
(Logic). The candidates are provisionally selected for appointment as
LECTURERS for Government Arts & Science Colleges to the Department of
Collegiate Education. The formal selection intimation will be sent to
them individually by TRB through post. Further notification /
communication will be issued by the Director of Collegiate Education,
Chennai-6 regarding placement.
The provisionally selected
candidates are hereby informed that their selection is purely
provisional, subject to the verification of original certificates,
countersigned teaching experience certificates and refereed
books/articles published, and other eligibility conditions, by the
appointing authority. If any information found to be false or incorrect
at any stage, his/her ineligibility being detected during or after the
appointment, his/her selection/appointment is liable for cancellation at
any stage.
Utmost care has been taken in preparing the list and in
publishing it. Teachers Recruitment Board reserves the right to correct
any errors that may have crept in. Incorrect list would not confer any
right of enforcement. |
